Coffee Essentials I Pack for Every Trip

As a solo traveler, I love to explore new places and try new things. But sometimes, I just want to relax in my room, hostel or AirBnB with a cup of coffee or a matcha latte. I could get dressed and go find a cup of coffee, that's pretty simple to do in almost every location around the world, but it's often times not as easy to find a matcha latte, and I do love a good matcha latte from time to time.

That's why I always pack these coffee essentials (and necessities) with me on every trip:

First up, a collapsible silicone coffee filter. This particular one that you can snag on Amazon comes with a built in mesh filter. I'll also typically pack a small ziplock bag of ground coffee with me, or if I'll be at a location for longer, I'll just buy a bag at a local coffee shop once I arrive. This allows me to make a fresh cup of coffee anywhere, even if I don't have access to a kitchen. I love waking up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee, and this little filter makes it easy to do.

I am also a sucker for frothy milk in my coffee or matcha latte, so a small and portable milk frother permanently lives in my carry on. It's a perfect way to add a touch of luxury to my coffee and definitely a necessity when making matcha to get all the lumps out. I love making matcha lattes, and the milk frother helps me to create perfect, smooth and frothy cup.

I love matcha and it's a great way to get a caffeine boost without the jitters. Hence I always bring my own matcha with me, this way I'm never stuck without my matcha latte. My favorite one is this Yuzu Matcha. It's perfect in both hot and iced forms. I love making this matcha iced and combine it with some lemonade to make an iced matcha lemonade. If you haven't tried it, you need to. It will convert you to a matcha lover (if you're not one already).

I also love my Hydro Flask. I've had mine for years and it's held up fantastically. It's perfect for all kinds of liquid shenanigans. Heading on a hike, it will keep your water nice and cold. Need a coffee but don’t have a cup? Hydro Flaskto the rescue. Need that iced matcha lemonade, the Hydro Flask go you covered.

These three items might seem like small luxuries, but they make my trips so much more enjoyable. They allow me to stay in my room and relax and they're all small enough to pack in my carry-on, so I don't have to worry about them taking up too much space.

If you're a solo traveler who loves coffee or matcha, I highly recommend packing these three items with you on your next trip. They're the perfect way to add a touch of luxury to your travels.
